Moving can be one of the biggest physical
projects we take on in our entire lives. The mere thought of it can be daunting
knowing simply the sheer amount of stuff we accumulate over the years. But in
most cases the effort is worth it, as a new home begins a new chapter in our
lives. As the saying goes, "Chance favors the prepared mind" and moving is no
different. So here is a list of useful links that will serve as reminders of
things that have to be taken care of, or are just helpful. Happy
moving!
Change of Address

The post office will forward all your first
class mail for 12 months, and second-class mail for 60 days. However after this
point your mail will be returned to the sender, so it's best to take care of
your change of address sooner than later. You can change your address by
completing this
online form.
Magazines will also only be forwarded for 60
days. To have your address changed for your magazines check out this
page.
If you'd rather, you can also visit your
local post office and get change of address notification postcards known as PS
Form 3576.
The US Postal Service has put together some
useful
information of their own that can be of some help.

Financing Your Home >Balloon Mortgages
In loan terminology a "balloon" is the unpaid loan balance that must be paid in full on a specified due date. Federal savings and loan associations are permitted to make balloon mortgages with as little as five percent down and monthly payments that are smaller than the amount needed to fully amortize the debt. On the due date, which may be only a few years after the loan was made, the balance must be paid off or the loan must be renegotiated. Balloon borrowers must be cautious and plan carefully to avoid overlooking balloon payment obligations. It is easy to be lulled into complacency by the easy monthly payment terms.
Today's complex economics have produced a wide variety of options for potential borrowers, who are often surprised by how much house they can afford to buy. Loan approval is ultimately in the lender's hands, but your real estate agent can help you to determine your real buying power.
